About

Caspar Grant is a London based MC/Producer originally from Birmingham, creating experimental hip hop and psychedelic bass music. From 2005 he was half of the progressive rap duo H.L.I. along with fellow luminary Wasif Scion. Having performed live up and down the country for many years, sharing stages with the likes of GZA, Akil of Jurassic 5, Akala, Anti-Pop Consortium and DJ Vadim, the group honed a sound as raw and energetic as it was forward thinking and released their debut Omniglyph in 2011. The record, containing features from Juice Aleem, Thavius Beck, Mike Ladd and Kashmere, received resoundingly positive acclaim, described as “one of the boldest sounding releases ever in UK hip hop”.

Caspar Grant is currently preparing to release his debut solo LP Capricornucopia. Featuring the likes of Juice Aleem, Wasif Scion and Black/Other the album explores a range musical styles and dynamics as a back drop to Caspar’s rhythmic cadences, melodic delivery and abstract narratives. The video for lead single “Entropy” is set to drop in February 2017.
